Sense Chat has been developed in-house by Heap using the OpenAI API Platform and associated foundational large language models.
To create a chat experience inside Heap, we use OpenAI's APIs to access large language models alongside our own infrastructure. These APIs use OpenAI's business terms of use. OpenAI has a separate customer and business-facing chatbot product called ChatGPT. ChatGPT uses the same underlying APIs, but it is governed by OpenAI's standard terms of use.
