To set up a Heap Connect query equivalent to this chart, see Time to Conversion / Average Time to Event.
You can check how long it takes users to convert in Heap by updating the granularity drop-down of the date range field in our funnel module.
To set this up in Heap, complete the following steps:
1. Navigate to Analyze > Funnel
2. Select the two events you want to use to measure conversion
As an example in Heap, we may want to see how long it takes users to sign up after viewing the signup page over the past week.
3. Click View results to show the conversion rate for this funnel
Running this report will give us the conversion rate, which in this example, is 84.3% for the entire range.
To get a sense of how long it takes these users to convert, update the date range drop-down to different granularities. In our example, we will update the granularity drop-down to 5 minutes to see what percentage of these users convert within that time.
After clicking the Update results button, the results will update to show us that the conversion rate for users completing these two steps within 5 minutes is 80.8%.
Doing the math tells us that most users finish signing up within 5 minutes – only 3.5% of users are taking more than 5 minutes to complete the signup process.
