This feature is only available to customers on the Premier plan. To upgrade, contact your Customer Success Manager or sales@heap.io.
The Audit log provides a detailed list of activities users have taken in your Heap app, so you can be sure of who is doing what with your Heap data.
You can view the Audit log for your Heap account by navigating to Account > Manage > Audit log. You will only see the Audit log link if you are an admin in your Heap account.
You can search and filter the audit log entries from the UI (no code needed). Filter by date, who the action was taken by, and any specific action you’re interested in.
Date history is unavailable before September 1, 2022.
You can also click on an entry to see more information. For example, if you click on an entry related to a teammate changing roles, all the information about this change is shown.
Click on your teammate’s name to be taken to their entry on the Teammates page to see exactly what permissions they have. You can also click on either role mentioned to be taken to the corresponding Roles page.
