Uninstalling Heap is just as easy as installing: simply remove the installation snippet from where it’s placed in your codebase. Once you’ve done so, Heap will be gone.
Depending on the complexity of your installation, also be sure to do the following:
- Remove any server logic associated with Heap (ex. use of our server-side APIs)
- Remove Heap from any tag managers (GTM, Tealium, Segment, etc.)
- Search your full codebase for ‘heap’ and remove additional references as needed
- Make sure Heap is removed from all pages on your website or app, not just main pages
