Heap is a digital insights platform that helps you understand how and why customers engage with your product. We automatically collect all customer data from your site or app, then provide direction on the improvements that will most impact your business. These key insights provide advance signal on customer behavior, so that you can make data-driven decisions that boost conversion, activation, and retention.
How does Heap work?
Heap automatically captures all user interactions in your app, then organizes this data into a simple yet flexible hierarchy (account > user > session > pageview > event) for you to answer questions, run experiments, and explore your data to unearth insights.
Because we automatically capture all user interactions, there’s no need to add new tracking code or change data models when you launch new features, update your site, or change your business model. No matter how your product or site evolves, Heap will continue to automatically collect all behavioral data.
This data model also provides you with the flexibility to perform a wide range of in-depth analyses that apply to any digital product, but is also easy enough for anyone in your organization to use. Funnel analysis, retention analysis, user segmentation, behavioral cohorting, path analysis, and much more are all made easy via Heap’s data model.
For a detailed overview of how this data is organized, see Heap’s Data Model. For a full list of everything Heap automatically captures, see Autocaptured Data.
